Donald Trump states he 'probably' will debate Kamala Harris but 'can also make a case for not doing so'.

Donald Trump has somewhat retreated from his earlier commitment to debate Vice President Kamala Harris, questioning the value of the encounter. He now says he "probably" will debate but also believes he "can make a case for not doing it."

**WASHINGTON** — Former President Donald Trump is set to attend the National Association of Black Journalists' annual convention in Chicago on Wednesday.

In a statement issued Monday night, the Trump campaign announced that the Republican presidential nominee will engage in a question-and-answer session focused on addressing the critical issues facing the Black community.

In recent months, Trump's campaign has actively sought opportunities to connect with voters beyond his traditional support bases, including his appearance at the Libertarian Party convention in Washington earlier this year, where he faced significant backlash.

The campaign highlighted policies from Trump's first term that they claim benefited Black Americans. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden has experienced a notable decline in favorability among Black voters since taking office in 2021. The political landscape has shifted following Biden's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris, who aims to make history as the first Black woman and first South Asian American president if she secures victory in November.
